Upside Down Magic Movie Review

I missed Upside Down Magic over the summer and was really excited to have a chance to review this for Disney as a DVD release.  Our family loves these Disney Channel movies and Upside Down Magic was no exception.  Unlike some of the other Disney Channel movies mentioned above, you won't find a musical adventure, but a magical school full of children with special powers - think of this as a more gentle version of Harry Potter.  Nory arrives on campus of Sage Academy excited to take her magical powers to the next level.  But her "wonky, weird, and defective" magic lands her in the Upside Down Magic program - not one of the many magical houses like the other students.  Students in Upside Down Magic are forbidden from practicing magic as the school leaders fear that their unusual magical powers will be dangerous to others.  Nory doesn't accept her fate though to not practice magic anymore and is determined to show others that UDM students can turn their magic Right Side Up!

The movie is sassy, fun, and entertaining for kids especially, but also for the parents watching along.  The kids in the movie learn valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and stereotypes towards others.  My son didn't want the movie to end and can't wait to watch it again.  I'm sure it's going to be a favorite for a long time to come in our house!

Thanks to Disney for providing me with a copy of the DVD to review!
