The next big movie to head to Disney+ just dropped it's trailer this week! Flora & Ulysses is about a girl and a squirrel - but not just any ordinary squirrel. . .one with superpowers. Based on the Newberry Award winning book by the same name, I'm excited to take a look at the newest family film coming to Disney+ on February 19th!
Flora & Ulysses Trailer Release
Let's talk about how much I love this trailer. First - the cast. Matilda Lawler is absolutely adorable in this trailer as Flora and I can't get enough of her spunk on camera. Her parents, played by Alyson Hannigan (you remember. . .that one summer, at band camp) and Ben Schwartz (yes - the voice of Sonic from last year's blockbuster hit!) are comedy gold as well. I was really excited to see their chemistry and humor light up this trailer. The story is also really cool. I mean, who doesn't love a superhero squirrel. Ulysses looks like he is going to be a great leading animal and may just be positioning himself for a win in that category next awards season!
I'm really excited to see this on Disney+! What do you think?
Disney's “Flora & Ulysses” is a delightful comedy-adventure based on the Newberry Award-winning book about 10-year-
old Flora, an avid comic book fan and a self-avowed cynic, whose parents have recently separated. After rescuing a
squirrel she names Ulysses, Flora is amazed to discover he possesses unique superhero powers which take them on an
adventure of humorous complications that ultimately change Flora's life--and her outlook--forever. "Flora & Ulysses" stars
Matilda Lawler, Alyson Hannigan, Ben Schwartz, Anna Deavere Smith, Danny Pudi, Benjamin Evans Ainsworth, Janeane
Garofolo and Kate McCucci. It was directed by Lena Khan and produced by Gil Netter. Based on the novel "Flora &
Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures" by Kate DiCamillo, the film's screenplay is by Brad Copeland. Katterli Frauenfelder
and James Powers served as executive producers.
