As part of the Disney Investor Day news announced in December, I was delighted to hear that Disney's next animated feature, Raya and The Last Dragon, will be coming to Disney+ as well as theaters in March. Take a look at the trailer for Raya and The Last Dragon here:
Raya and The Last Dragon Teaser Trailer
I love that Disney continues to showcase strong female leads. I get a very "Elsa" vibe from Raya - she is fierce, independent, and not afraid to fight for her people. With promises of adventure and action, my boys are looking forward to seeing more of this film prior to its release. As I mentioned above, Raya and The Last Dragon will be available in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access - meaning just like Mulan from last year, Disney+ subscribers will have to pay a premium to see this film when it releases in March or wait a few weeks to catch it for free on the streaming service.
While you wait, you can catch Pixar's newest movie, Soul, streaming on Disney+ FREE to subscribers!

Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well. From directors Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada, co-directors Paul Briggs and John Ripa, producers Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho, and featuring the voices of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya and Awkwafina as the last dragon Sisu, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Raya and the Last Dragon” opens in U.S. theaters on March 2021.
