Disney's Cruella - Image from Walt Disney Studios

The release of Disney's Cruella to theaters and Disney+ Premier Access is fast approaching and this movie looks. . .WOW!  It certainly feels more intense than Disney movies I'm used to watching with the kids so I'll be curious to see just how kid friendly it ends up being as a mom.  However, I can tell you that I am here for the fashion, the music, and the insanity.  It looks so good.

Disney's Cruella Sneak Peek featuring Florence + the Machine

Cruella's soundtrack has a lot to look forward to, including a new original song "Call Me Cruella" by Florence + the Machine.  This opportunity sounds like it was a perfect fit for Florence, "Some of the first songs I ever learned how to sing were Disney songs. And the villains often got the best numbers. So to help create and perform a song for ‘Cruella’ is the fulfillment of a long held childhood dream. I’m so grateful to Nicholas Britell and Disney for allowing me so much creative freedom, and for trusting me with Cruella’s beautiful madness.” Take a look at the clip from the movie featuring the new song here:

The soundtrack for Cruella releases May 21st ahead of the film!

Disney's Cruella Character Posters

Cruella is all about the fashion and the fierceness so it's no wonder these character posters are dressed to kill!  Which look is your favorite? (All images from Walt Disney Studios)

I can't decide which Emma I'm more excited to see in this film - Stone or Thompson?  Both of them look like they are ready to slay in these character posters!  Cruella releases in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access May 28th!

About Disney's Cruella (from Walt Disney Studios)

Academy Award® winner Emma Stone (“La La Land”) stars in Disney’s “Cruella,” an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (“Howards End,” “Sense & Sensibility”). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

Disney’s “Cruella” is directed by Craig Gillespie (“I Tonya”) from a screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. It was produced by Andrew Gunn (“Freaky Friday”), Marc Platt (“Mary Poppins Returns”) and Kristin Burr (“Christopher Robin”), with Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff and Glenn Close serving as executive producers. Two-time Oscar®- winning costume designer Jenny Beavan (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “A Room with a View”) creates the dazzling and imaginative costumes, which take on a life of their own.
