In Christmas Again we meet Rowena, "Ro," who loves Christmas and all of the memories she has, but find Christmas is changing too much.  After a tough Christmas day, Ro has a wish granted to get to redo Christmas - but she quickly finds herself stuck reliving the same Christmas Day over and over again.  After deciding to have some "fun" knowing that there are no consequences for her actions long term, Ro then turns her attention to getting her family back to the way she remembers it.  But Ro must learn the true meaning of Christmas and how to enjoy and of divorce, remarriage, and blended families are highlighted and may hit home for many viewers.  A key takeaway from the film can be summed up in just one line - "Families change, but what's important is that you're still together on Christmas."  Ro struggles with a number of emotions during the film and is a very relatable character for young audiences.  Diversity is also highlighted in the film showing that families come in all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, races, and backgrounds.

This movie has a little bit more of a serious undertone than Home Sweet Home Alone which also released this year on Disney+ and may be tough to watch for kids who are experiencing their first Christmas with parents separated.  However, in the end, the film is celebration of family and the holidays!  It's a great watch and feels fresh even if a bit familiar.
